Bill has been a lover of country music all his life, with a leaning to the more traditional type of singer/songwriters including Hank Williams, Kriss Kristofferson and Merle Haggard; all good story-telling writers. Despite living in a small rural village in Scotland, Bill is now promoting his own kind of country songs. He has had several songs included in "Country Hotdiscs" with many favorable reviews and has now been given the opportunity to have one of his songs included in the "Country Hotdisc 2004: Best of British Country" CD which will become available in time for Christmas.
Bill has just released his latest album "Together in Harmony", recorded with the help of his two sons Ian and David on lead and bass guitars. The brothers had a long period of fame with the Rock Band "Strangeways", and Ian has played with Pink Floyd. Also on the album are Dave "Munch" Moore on keyboards, and Alex Primrose on pedal steel.
Bill's previous album "The Best of Times" includes his song "Chasin' Dreams" which won "The International Song of the Year" at the Country Music Organization of America's Eagle Awards Ceremony which was held in Las Vegas in 2001.
